Float

Float is a contemporary couch designed for multiple purposes. The piece’s slim floating seat is incorporated into an upholstered wall that provides privacy in open spaces, a back to rest on, and even a place to hang a scarf or coat.
The piece is available in two sizes: one sofa with low back and one sofa with a high back. A reclined arm can also be added which converts the piece into a day bed, as well as two coat hooks.
Each component (arms, seat, back and headrest) can be upholstered in a different fabric and are priced separately and as one piece.
The legs are made of solid oak and can be stained.
Karim Rashid has also designed Cairo, a series of Egyptian style fabric patterns, used on the range’s scatter cushions and headrests.
The sculptural hooks have been designed by Karim as one of the most distinctive items of the Float collection. They can be hung on the back of the Float sofa as well as on the wall as individual wall hooks. Worked laboriously on the lathe, the oak wood acquires suggestive rounded shapes
